Hiking

Cascading waterfalls, deep gorges, pristine rainforests, and even a lake that boils—you can't even imagine where the hikes on Dominica will lead you. With three National Parks and trails from easy to difficult, there's no end to the hiking adventures on the Nature Island. And did you know that Dominica is home to the longest hiking trail in the Caribbean? Extending to the length of the island “The Waitukubuli National Trail” is 115 miles long and is divided into 14 contiguous segments that can take an experienced hiker nearly two weeks to complete. 

Canyoning 

Canyoning uses the natural environment as an adventure water park. In Dominica that means venturing into the heart of the rainforest. Climb waterfalls, swim through blue pools, hike across riverbeds, rappel down rock faces, and jump over cascades into crystal clear waters. Canyoning in Dominica offers a great way to explore the island, while at the same time, enjoying the fun and adventure of this great watersport.

Scuba Diving & Snorkeling 

Featuring everything from vibrant colorful reefs and tropical fish-filled waters to spectacular drops and submerged volcanic craters, Dominica’s coastal waters are among the top dive and snorkeling destinations in the world. Divers can choose from dozens of sites around the island and learn more about Dominica's unique marine environment at the popular Dive Fest every year in July. 

Beaches

Dominica's coastline is pristine with a range of terrain from white sand to black sand, from rocky to bubbly. Each beach is unique – some are lined with bars and restaurants while others are accessible only by four-wheel drive vehicle.

Waterfalls

With 365 rivers and due to the island’s terrain and rainfall, there is no shortage of beautiful waterfalls in Dominica. A variety of hikes of all levels will take you to awe-inspiring waterfalls.The Trafalgar Falls, Middleham Falls and Emerald Pool are among the most visited on the island.
